TRANSIT OF VENUS

Way back in 2012 the planet Venus passed between the Earth and the sun (the next transit will take place in 2117. Boom). I quickly set up the camera on my balcony, focused on infinity, dropped the exposure and ISO to the lowest it could go and began snapping. I didn’t have an intervalometer at the time so I had to shoot single frames continuously. I guess I could have set the camera on continuous shooting but I had no intention of capturing the transit until I noticed a break in the clouds. Oh and I couldn’t actually see what I was shooting because the sun’s intensity through the lens and viewfinder would have cooked my eyeball. Go sun!
